Announcement: King Tuts Summer Nights 2017

Those summer, niiiiights. If you weren’t thinking of that song then you’re lying to yourself.

Now running in its sixth year, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut proudly presents their Summer Nights 2017 lineup of over 70 incredible artists taking to the legendary stage where if you get to play King Tuts, you know you have made it.

The festival runs from the 13th – 29th July during the height of Glasgow’s summer, where it becomes more acceptable for taps aff and a drink (or two) in hand.

Promising to bring the hottest talent to the one of the coolest festivals happening in Glasgow this summer, you can witness the talent of acts such as November Lights, Patersani, Vida, False Friends, Adam Ross Greene, Foreign Fox, Ava Love, Walt Disco, American Clay, Model Aeroplanes, Vistas, Fauves, Sway and loads more!

Better than Willy Wonka’s, there is a chance to access ALL the shows happening at the festival known as the Golden Ticket which is on sale just now for only £25 (LIMITED TIME ONLY) until it increases to the full price of £40 on May 18th which to be fair, that price for ALL those banging bands?! Electric Fields Excites Fans With Surprise Lineup Announcement!

Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Drumlangrig Castle in Thornhill, Scotland’s Five Star festival Electric Fields made a surprise announcement of the next wave of artists set to take Dumfries and Galloway by storm at the beginning of September.

With an almighty bill with Frightened Rabbit, Dizzee Rascal, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Nieves, Arab Strap and Crash Club to name a few, on Thursday 28th April, Team EF made the announcement on all their Facebook about the next set of names being added to an already epic lineup.

Coming to Drumlanrig on 1st – 2nd September are Foxygen, Fatherson, Temples, The Beat, Whyte Horses, PINS, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and Edwin Organ!

Electric Fields is one of the exciting, upcoming festivals hosted in Scotland. Every year their lineup gets bigger, better and bolder, attracting major crowds from all over the country.

Festival Preview – Stereofunk

Known as the first festival of the summer, thousands of music lovers will descend to Strathclyde Country Park in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire for Stereofunk 2017.

The May Day Bank Holiday event caters for fans of all things indie, pop, dance, old school rave and emerging local talent, over 80 bands and DJ’s across five stages over 10.5 hours will bring in a very early summer party including DJ Jim Gellatly who is has his own Main stage with performances from Indigo Velvet, Vladimir, Jamie and Shoony, The Banter Thief’s with headliners Ian Van Dahl and TTF, mixing nostalgia with the current is the aim of Jim’s stage. Neon face paint and glow sticks are a must for this festival!

Newly introduced HWFGo stage (which stands for Here We F*cking Go) will see the likes of Dream Frequency, Clyde 1 Breakfast and GBX legend George Bowie and headliners N-Trance taking to the decks to play out some of the biggest dance and rave classics. Be prepared for some Pretty Green Eyes, Hardcore Feelings and Dancing In The Dark and by that I mean the songs, if you see or adapt these at Stereofunk, it’s an added bonus.

The event is for strictly for over 18’s and has fully licensed bars and quality food vendors. Stereofunk is deemed one of the most affordable festivals in the UK.

Festival Preview – Northern Roots Festival, Inverness

If the weather outside is getting you buzzing for the upcoming festival season, I have something else to throw into the works to make you squee with excitement – a preview at one of the highly anticipated festivals up in the North of Scotland. Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the Northern Roots Festival!

Taking place on the extremely unique Bogbain Farm which is located a few miles outside of Inverness City Centre, This boutique music festival will be the place to find some of the best emerging and legendary talent who are born and bred in Scotland. Throw in some Craft Beer and Spirits, Artisan food and an unrivalled festival spirit for good measure and you will be basking yourself in 48 hours of utter wonderment.
